100th Day of School Interview with Ms. Leone by Sarina A.

  • Why do you think celebrating the 100th day of school is a good idea for the younger grades? Because it shows them how much dedication, hard work, and effort they have put forth already.
  • Did you have any special activities that you did on that day?

The children were divided into 5 groups, each group received 100 items (items varied) The groups were expected to represent 100 in four different ways using multiplication or division. The other plans for the day was drawing an illustration and writing a story about the items that the students used.

  • Were any of the festivities that you did this year different from last year?

Yes, because last year i taught 3rd grade and we based it off of the 3rd grade curriculum.

  • Did anyone have to bring 100 of anything?

Some students and teachers in 2nd grade, wore 100 of something( Shirts with 100 designs, necklace with 100 beads, 100 safety pins etc;)

  • Were there any song or poems that you learned or made up on that day?

No, not this year.
